Our Services

Next Step is able to provide initial assessment on children and young people that we look after.  These can be used for future care planning and can be released for partners involved in care proceedings.

Assessment work is carried out by qualified and experienced social workers and overseen by a senior consultant; they can be commissioned at any point of a child’s placement.

If a child or young person requires a specialist assessment such as a psychological or psychotherapy one, then this can be immediately arranged.  Ongoing therapeutic support can also be arranged, such as:

Recovery counselling from early childhood experiences

Anger management

Psychotherapy

Drama / Art Therapy

Attachment and bonding counselling

Life Story Work

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, including eye movement Desentisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) – (LINK TO EMDR)

Post traumatic stress counselling
